About

My first still camera was the Nikon Nikkormat. It shot 35mm film stock, I was partial to Ilford black and white film stocks for many years. I learned on a 16mm Bolex camera when I started shooting motion footage. "frame18a" connects me to those early days of photographic imagery.

From film (16 & 35mm) to a world of 4, 6, 8 even 12K formats with multi-terabyte drives, and manipulating imagery at levels unheard of only a few years ago the technology has radically changed. However, no matter the ever evolving hardware and software, only one aspect truly stands the test of time, storytelling. That’s what I enjoy the most.
