In early September 2019, the newly formed Stratford & District Historical Society (2019) executive met to discuss plans going forward. This is a very dynamic group of historically informed individuals interested in promoting Stratford stories.
When I moved to the city, it was my hope that I would be able to produce some historical programs much like I had when in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood.
Being a brand new organization they needed to build their identity. I designed the society’s logo and helped set up the web site, build the initial design and launch the site in early October.
In short order, the Society has had a Ghost Are Inn evening, plans a Remembrance Day Tribute and a special dinner and movie evening celebrating Thomas Edison’s connection to the city.
